Autumn-Leaves.net // The Enchanted Network

Domain Names

Glass-Slipper.org // A title of fairly obvious origins. The tale of Cinderella is a famous one - it is both a sad and joyful story, reflecting the different aspects of life. The glass slipper has forever been a motif of this story, and one of endearing beauty and fortitude.

The Enchanted Network // This has been the name of the network since songstress.org, so it has been around for about four years. The name is mostly a reflection of my interest in fairytales and folklore, stories with magic and endearing characters. The word itself is also very beautiful, refering not only to things that are magic, but also those so beautiful that they appear so.

Siansa.net [dead] // Siansa (pronounced shi-an-sa) is Gaelic for symphony. I have a fairly hefty obsession with Ireland - the tales, the accents, the beer! Gaelic is such a beautiful language, though very difficult to pronounce, so I searched for a word that was easy to pronounce and remember. It's a fairly appropriate name for this particular classical music loving nutcase. This domain took over from Songstress.org in '08, but then died much like it's predecessor - expiring without my noticing.

Songstress.org [dead] // Bought during the Final Fantasy X-2 boom when everyone and their dog wanted in on the new game, with premature shrines opening left and right and a gazillion sites entitled '1000 words' or 'Real Emotion' popping up. Having adored it's prequel I was just as excited as everybody else and decided, when trying to think of a new name, on one of the new job classes found within the game - songstress. This domain went strong for about five years and I grew a lot as a designer during this period. It was unfortunately eaten by web monkeys in 2008.
